Americans for the Arts is offering a special discount promotion for two attendees from the same organization. Purchase one full-price convention registration, and one of your colleagues gets a $50 discount on the second registration. This promotion is available until the advance registration deadline, May 23, 2012. Registrations arriving by paper form must be postmarked by May 23.

• Both registered attendees must be from the same organization.
• Preconference-only registrants, group registrants, presenters, exhibitors, students, and one-day registrants are excluded from this offer
• The second registration must be completed using the paper form (indicating the first registrant’s name by the payment information). However, the first registration can be made via the paper form or online.
• Registrants do not need to be completed on the same day, or be of the same value, in order to take advantage of this promotion.
• Registrants do not need to be professional members of Americans for the Arts to take advantage of the discount.

Group Discount

Bring 10 or more attendees from any number of organizations, and get rewarded with a special discount of $50 off each registration.

• All registrations must be completed by paper forms and submitted together along with one, all-inclusive payment. Please make sure to complete one form for each participating registrant.
• The $50 discount will be taken off the prevailing professional member rate, but registrants do not need to be professional members to take advantage of the discount.

Professional Member Benefits

There are designated professional member rates available for both main conference and preconference registrations. This year’s Annual Convention also features a members-only reception. Become a member today and register for the 2012 Annual Convention all at once! Fill out the convention paper registration form and follow the registration instructions. Attendees will not be able to become a member and register for the convention at the same time online. Online registrations do not allow attendees to become a member and register for the convention at the same time.

One-Day Registrations

Short on time, but still want to take advantage of the awesome Convention programming? Only pay for one day! One-day registrations are available for $200. You can use a one-day registration to attend the events on either Friday, June 8; Saturday, June 9; or Sunday, June 10. Limit one one-day registration per person; one-day registrations cannot be combined to create a two-day registration. One-day registrations also include any special events occurring on those dates. (Please note that some special events require additional registration and separate fees).

Preconference registrants also attending annual convention

Take $100 off the preconference rate when you purchase preconference and convention registrations together.

Preconference One Day Registration Discount

We encourage all preconference registrants to stay and enjoy the rest of the convention. However, if you can only join us for the remainder of Friday, June 8, you can take advantage of a special discounted one-day registration rate only available to preconference registrants and only available for Friday, June 8. Take $50 off the one-day registration rate, and stay for the rest of Friday afternoon including the Opening Keynote and Opening Reception for only $150.

Scholarships

Americans for the Arts is pleased to offer scholarships to arts leaders throughout the country to assist them in participating in the 2012 Americans for the Arts Annual Convention. The purpose of these scholarships is to provide assistance for arts professionals to attend the convention for professional development, networking opportunities, and to share strategies for success with peers.

This year, Americans for the Arts is offering the following scholarships:

LOCAL ARTS SCHOLARSHIPS: These full scholarships are available to individual who are working to advance the arts at the local level.  This includes but is not limited to individuals representing local arts agencies, local arts organizations, arts education, public art, and community based organizations that utilize arts and culture to advance their mission.  This also includes arts service organizations such as state arts agencies and associations that work to support their local constituency. These scholarships cover the cost of the convention registration, roundtrip airfare, and up to three nights’ accommodations at the convention hotel.  Americans for the Arts will reimburse recipients up to $395 (Early Bird Registration Member Rate) after the convention pending a completed one-page report, and travel and hotel will be handled by Americans for the Arts.  Priorities may be given to those serving rural or underserved communities, emerging leaders, and first time attendees to the Annual Convention.

CONVENTION REGISTRATION SCHOLARSHIPS: These scholarships will cover the full cost of the convention registration only.  Recipients will need to register at the Early Bird Member Rate of $395.  The registration scholarships are reimbursed to awardees after the convention pending a completed one-page report.

Cut Housing Costs - Get a Roommate!

Cut your housing costs in half! Interested in sharing a room with another conference attendee to help reduce the cost of attending the convention? Just mark the Roommate Referral Box on the registration form and we'll send you a list of other interested attendees.

To be eligible for the program, your registration form must be received no later than April 27, 2012. Hotel rooms fill fast, so we suggest that all attendees make housing arrangements when they register and once a roommate is identified, cancel the reservation that is no longer needed.

Volunteer

 Americans for the Arts is pleased to offer a limited number of volunteer opportunities to help offset the cost of the convention registration fees for current Americans for the Arts professional members. Volunteers who work during the convention receive a discounted registration rate of $250 for the full convention. However, in order to be considered you must register at the prevailing convention rate. You will be reimbursed post-convention for the difference after successful completion of your volunteer duties.

Please note: Volunteers will be given assignments prior to arrival. However, Americans for the Arts reserves the right to change or make new assignments as needed. Volunteer recipients must submit a social security number or a Federal ID number in order to receive their reimbursement.
