Americans for the Arts is pleased to offer a limited number of volunteer opportunities to help offset the cost of the convention registration fees for current Americans for the Arts professional members. Volunteers who work during the convention receive a discounted registration rate of $250 for the full convention. However, in order to be considered you must register at the prevailing convention rate. You will be reimbursed post-convention for the difference after successful completion of your volunteer duties.
Please note: Volunteers will be given assignments prior to arrival. However, Americans for the Arts reserves the right to change or make new assignments as needed. Volunteer recipients must submit a social security number or a Federal ID number in order to receive their reimbursement.

Travel & Housing Discounts
Save more on published room rates when you book at the headquarters hotel, the Sheraton Chicago! Americans for the Arts has negotiated a non-public room rate lower than any published rate at the Sheraton Chicago over our meeting dates!
Cut Housing Costs - Get a Roommate!
Cut your housing costs in half! Interested in sharing a room with another conference attendee to help reduce the cost of attending the convention? Just mark the Roommate Referral Box on the registration form and we'll send you a list of other interested attendees.
To be eligible for the program, your registration form must be received no later than April 3, 2015. Hotel rooms fill fast so we suggest that all attendees make housing arrangements when they register and once a roommate is identified, cancel the reservation that is no longer needed.
Americans for the Arts has a travel partner, MacNair Travel who can provide you with discounts on air travel. We have also partnered with Delta and United Airlines to offer discounts on travel to the convention. Click here for more details!
Other Ways to Save
A variety of scholarship opportunities are available to attend the convention. Americans for the Arts is offering a limited number of scholarships to arts leaders. You will also find that many statewide and regional arts agencies offer scholarships for people in their service areas to attend the convention.
New this year, we have created a special scholarship category to subsidize the participation of up to five practicing artists who wish to attend – make sure to check it out!
