Public Art Tours Alternatives

Guided Chinatown Tour: 3:15 pm - 6:00 PM
This tour will explore relationships between Chinatown’s layered history, dynamic community, and the various expressions of public art found throughout the neighborhood. Visiting historic streets and alleyways, San Francisco’s oldest public square, and the site of an in-progress infrastructure project we will look at ways public art can connect both past and present. The tour will be led by representatives of the Chinese Culture Center of San Francisco, Chinatown Community Development Center, and the San Francisco Arts Commission.
Transportation: This is a guided walking tour that is approximately two miles round trip.
There are a limited number of spots available for this tour. Sign up will take place on site atRegistration on a first come, first serve basis. Free to attend.
Virtual Tours of Private Sculpture Collections: 3:30 pm - 6:00 PM
The San Francisco Bay area has a plethora of sculptures parks and private art collections. In this session hang out at the hotel and take a virtual tour of two of those private sculpture parks, learn about the history of the works in the collections and hear from those who continue to develop these collections.
