Exploring the Complexities of Cultural Equity in Public Art.

Hear short presentations from a variety of thought leaders in the public art field who are addressing cultural equity in their work. The presentations will act as prompts for small group conversations where participants will have the opportunity to share their reactions, thoughts, and ideas relative to the challenges they are facing in their own communities. The session will conclude with report backs to all the attendees to highlight important takeaways and “ah-ha” moments. Attendees will leave this session with a better understanding of the core issues and barriers to achieving greater cultural equity in the public art field as well as concrete examples of how their colleagues are addressing this challenging and complex work.
