The Challenge of Evaluation in Public Art.

Thursday, June 15, 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm

As interest in public art grows, so do the questions around its impact on our communities.  How do we gauge the role that public art can or does play in areas such as economic vibrancy, crime reduction, sustainable growth, cultural equity and gentrification? How do these concerns affect aesthetic choices and artistic integrity?  Join us for a conversation about what our field can do to frame the important questions around effectively evaluating the success, failure or simply the impact of public art programs and public art.

Audience: This session is designed for those who have significant experience in the field of public art.
Session Type: Debate/Discuss.
