Learn how the newest publication from Americans for the Arts, The Arts Education Field Guide, will help you design targeted advocacy messages for various education stakeholders. Practice your messaging with your peers, and use the newest national data in combination with your organization’s own stories to powerfully convey the importance of arts education to anyone.

Kristen Engebretsen serves as the Arts Education Program Coordinator at Americans for the Arts. In this role, she works with the Arts Education Network and its elected council to ensure the advancement of arts education throughout the country. Prior to her arrival in DC, she worked at several arts organizations in Los Angeles, including the LA County Arts Commission and the Music Center: Performing Arts Center of LA County. She holds a master of education from Harvard Graduate School of Education, as well as a bachelor of arts from the University of Southern California.

Talia Gibas is Arts for All Manager at the LA County Arts Commission, where she is responsible for arts education professional development programming for school district leaders. Prior to joining the Arts Commission in 2009, she was Program Assistant at the Getty Foundation. Talia earned her A.B. from the University of Chicago and Ed.M from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
