Transformazium/The Braddock Carnegie Library
Braddock, Pennsylvania

"Transformazium (Leslie Stem, Dana Bishop-Root and Ruthie Stringer)  is a 10 year-old collaborative project in a neighborhood just outside of Pittsburgh, PA. Their projects aim to foster multiplicity of amplified voice through the use of a neighborhood based design and print studio; recognize and participate in existing local arts discourses while making connections with regional and national discourses; and redirect money from an arts economy to a local economy through the creation of paid creative and cultural work. Transformazium has an embedded partnership with Braddock Carnegie Library.  Their work is informed by a broad public of library users.  It utilizes the spaces for expression, encounter, investigation and resource exchange that the library provides."
