Arleta Little is a multi-disciplinary cultural worker, artist, organizer, arts administrator, nonprofit consultant, and grantmaker. She serves as Arts Program Officer and Director of Artist Fellowships at the McKnight Foundation, a family foundation based in Minnesota which believes that Minnesota thrives when its artists thrive and invests nearly $9 million each year in support of working artists throughout Minnesota.

Arleta Little has worked in the nonprofit sector for two decades, including eight years as executive director of the Givens Foundation for African American Literature in Minneapolis. She was also president of Organizational Development Services, Inc., where she provided strategic planning, grant writing, and program evaluation services across sectors to more than 30 organizations in Minnesota. Arleta Little has a bachelor’s degree in English from Pennsylvania State University, and master’s degrees both in social work and in public affairs, with an emphasis on public and nonprofit leadership and management. She is a published author and currently serves on the boards of Grantmakers in the Arts and Headwaters Foundation for Justice.
